About Andrew King
I am a professional Architectural Illustrator and Fine Artist based in Snellville, GA. My interest in art and painting began while attending architectural school at Georgia Tech in 1969, where I took many drawing, painting and architectural history classes. After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture degree I began work as a design architect where I used my artistic talent to illustrate my own designs. In 1982 I started my own rendering firm, Architectural Illustrations, Inc., through which I have continued to develop my skills as an artist to this day. To this point, I have produced about 5,000 professional illustrations and hundreds of fine art paintings.
My fine art is a reflection of my laid back personality - I love to break the "rules". Although watercolor is my medium of choice, I will sometimes mix watercolor, acrylic, pastel, oil, sticks, leaves, dirt, condiments, or whatever I happen to find lying around to create my paintings. Each piece I produce is meant to be an expression of my personality, passion, and interests.
